Growing closer to God, by bringing Jesus to everyone so that they may know His love.
We, the Methodist people are called to:
  • worship within the local church, sharing in Holy Communion and personal prayer;
  • learning and caring, growing in faith through bible study and fellowship, supporting each other in our discipleship;
  • service within the community, being a good neighbour, challenging social injustice and supporting world mission;
  • evangelism, by living out our faith as witness and sharing Jesus Christ with everyone.
It is our mission and responsibility to safeguard all those who come into our care, this is living out our faith in service to the Lord.
"There is a  growing  understanding that protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults is at the core of our faith. Safeguarding is about creating churches that are a safe space for everyone; a space where children can flourish and adults can live up to their potential. It is about enabling everyone to come to Jesus without stumbling blocks of abuse, ignorance, fear, compassion fatigue or the failure to recognise the experiences that so many carry within our communities."
